Hiked from Lion’s Head to Bear Mt. 6-29-13

On Saturday June 29, 2013,  I took a Hike with Hike N Praise my Church Hiking group.  We started our hike at 9:40 AM from Lions Head access trail and finished at the Bear Mt Access trail, Under Mt Trail.  The entire hike was about 8.5 miles and took  a little over 7 hrs. with several long rests along the way.  We met another Church Hiking group from Cheshire which was a youth group doing an overnighter, there’s a little of that group in the video. This was a tough hike and challenged all 4 of us, Dean, Jeremy, Mark and myself.  After our hike we stopped at Jake’s Wayback Burgers for a burger which tasted soooooo good after that hike which burning about 4000 calories so I figured I could afford some junk food which I usually do not eat. We probably met about 50 people on the trail it was very busy out there almost crowded… This was a very good hike and I would recommend it only to experienced and fit hikers.  The GPS stats with a link to a map are below and a link to the video of this hike..

Note the GPS stats are missing about 1 mile because while resting at Lion’s Head I stopped the GPS and forgot to re start it when we started hiking again..
